Qualification

Graduation in marine engineering BE or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in the final year.
A full-time BE or B.Tech in all Mechanical Engineering streams, such as Mechanical and Automation, Mechanical and Electronics, Mechanical and Automobile, etc. However, the word “Mechanical” should appear first, indicating that Mechanical Engineering is the core, and the second subject is the elective.
Candidates with a degree in all Naval Architecture streams, such as Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding, etc. However, the word “Naval Architecture” should appear first, indicating that Naval Architecture is the core, and the second subject is the elective.
The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in English language in 10th, 12th, or the Degree Exam.
Maximum 28 years.
Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight up to (+ or -) 2.5 with no color blindness. Minimum height should be 157 centimeters.

Passport is Mandatory.
Age limit: Maximum 25 Years.
Medical standard:
Candidates must be medically fit including eye sight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000 Eye sight 6/6 with no colour blindness.
